Today I worked on a reindeer character but didn't do much all day but test what type of hair I wanted to use. after probably 3 hours of going between different buffer hair techniques I ended up saying fuck it and just tried the good ol' polygonal hair.
The problem is, that I was planning on having this character covered with buffer hair so I'm kind of skeptical on using polygonal hair in this style. But I might use these meshes to generate some curves in the exact shape and then use some spline hair on it. we'll see.
So... this image is just some temp hair I did, gonna re-do it all later this week and do whatever the hell I plan on doing, we'll see.
Notice that this is the exact mesh that appears in my previous WIP but now with the hair it looks totally different.
That's right, hair makes everything pretty.
